At Harlingen Area Tennis
At Harlingen Area Tennis Association, we believe every child should learn tennis in a fun, positive environment. Our camps teach life skills through hard work and play.
We end each week with a fun pizza party, and every two-week session concludes with a larger celebration with a water balloon fight! Campers are encouraged to give 110% on and off the court while learning, playing, and growing together.
Campers learn the basics of tennis—serving, volleying, forehands, backhands, and scoring—with a strong focus on etiquette and sportsmanship.
Each session includes conditioning for speed, agility, and footwork. Intermediate players are grouped by skill level and receive additional training in stroke development, singles/doubles strategy, and matchplay experience.
Drop-off is from 8:45–9:00 AM. On-court instruction runs from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, with frequent breaks for water and rest. We provide bottled water and ice wraps to keep campers cool.
From 11:00–11:30 AM, campers enjoy fun tennis games and matchplay. Pickup is at Pendleton Park Play Area between 11:30–12:00 PM, where kids can relax with a snack while they wait.
