At Harlingen Area Tennis Association, our mission is to provide group tennis classes where your child is able to learn tennis in a fun positive environment. We work hard and we play hard. Campers are encouraged to give 110% at learning and training. At the end of each camp week campers have a fun pizza party with activity and play time to celebrate their week of hard work. At the end of each two week session campers celebrate with a larger party and fun activity.
Our camp teaches the basics of tennis to beginners. Campers will learn serve, volley, forehand, and backhand techniques as well as scoring and tennis etiquette. Conditioning drills for footwork, speed and agility are incorporated into the training day. Intermediate players will focus on stroke technique advancement and matchplay experien
Our camp teaches the basics of tennis to beginners. Campers will learn serve, volley, forehand, and backhand techniques as well as scoring and tennis etiquette. Conditioning drills for footwork, speed and agility are incorporated into the training day. Intermediate players will focus on stroke technique advancement and matchplay experience as well as strategy for both singles and doubles matchplay. Intermediate players will be grouped with players of their own skill level.
Our camp day begins from 8:45 am to 9 am for drop off. On court teaching is from 9 am to 11 am with frequent breaks to hydrate and cool off. An ice chest with bottled water is provided at all times. Ice wraps are provided to place on campers when temperatures are high. Our campers safety is priority. We begin matchplay and tennis games f

Pickup is at the Pendleton Park Play area between 11:30-12 pm where campers can take a break and eat a snack while awaiting parent pick up.
